Zor Deca STEM Kit Earns STEM.org Authentication & Best in STEM Award

Zor Deca STEM Kit - STEM Authentication - Press Release

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Jayrus Labs' Zor Deca Receives STEM.org Authenticated™ Trustmark and Best in STEM Award

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – July 24, 2026 – Jayrus Labs today announced that its flagship mechanical assembly module, Zor Deca, has earned the STEM.org Authenticated™ Trustmark and the Best in STEM Award from STEM.org Educational Research™ (SER), recognizing the product's educational value, hands-on design and interactive assembly experience.

Zor Deca is a hands-on mechanical assembly kit that transforms into a functional desktop beverage holder and allows users to explore practical mechanics through the construction of an everyday product. Originally developed to solve a common desktop problem – preventing drink spills during periods of focused work – Zor Deca evolved into a complete assembly module. Users build a precision gear-driven mechanism featuring synchronized gears, rack-and-pinion motion, guided linear movement and a spring-loaded locking system. Through assembling and using Zor Deca, builders gain hands-on experience with mechanical principles while creating a functional device that shows how multiple mechanisms work together.

During STEM.org's independent evaluation process, Zor Deca was assessed across key educational criteria, including Kinesthetics & Active Play, 21st-Century Skills, Imagination & Cognition and STEM Subject Integration, ultimately earning both the STEM.org Authenticated™ Trustmark and the Best in STEM Award.

"When I started building Zor Deca, I wasn't trying to create a STEM product – I was solving a problem I experienced every day: spilling drinks during moments of focus. I wanted a third hand to hold my mug while I worked and Zor Deca became exactly that," said Rohma Jahanzeb, founder of Jayrus Labs. "STEM.org’s authentication is an exciting milestone for Jayrus Labs and we are excited to get this kit into the hands of students and makers."

Designed to help parents and educators identify quality educational products, the STEM.org Authenticated™ Trustmark represents products evaluated against established STEM learning standards. Through its assessment process, STEM.org Educational Research™ evaluates products across multiple educational criteria to determine their alignment with STEM-focused learning objectives.
