The Precision Installation System Workflow
This integrated system is designed to take the guesswork out of the workshop. To achieve a factory-perfect installation, we recommend the following steps:
Template Creation: You can easily create a routing template (to be used with a flush-trim bit) with a 2-1/8” Forstner bit and a piece of MDF. Ensure your MDF is thick enough for the router bit you are using to create a clean, shallow recess for the cover.
Accurate Marking: Use the locator jig to quickly and easily mark where to drill the mounting holes using a 1/8” center punch or brad point drill bit.
Marking vs. Drilling: The jig is designed to mark locations only. After marking, remove the jig and always ensure you use the correct drill bit size for your specific mounting screws.
Practice First: We highly recommend testing your layout and routing on a scrap piece of wood first.
